Working as a Front Office employee: a look in the mirror with Janique

Janique Konings has been a Front Office Assistant at paraDIGMA groep since December 2021 . She has only recently joined paraDIGMA groep, but already feels completely at home. Janique takes us through her experience and work as a Frontoffice Employee.

Janique: "My sister-in-law was already working at paraDIGMA groep and had always been enthusiastic. So when I heard there was a vacancy for Front Office Assistant, my attention was immediately drawn. The world of health and safety services interests me enormously and together with my passion for people, the front office is a perfect combination!

The introduction feels like a warm bath

The first days of introductions were very positive. Everyone welcomes you with open arms, willing to help you and make you feel welcome. It really feels like a warm bath! Once you join paraDIGMA groep , you have a welcome day with all new colleagues on the first day of the month. CEO and founder of paraDIGMA groep Rudo Vissers also comes here to share his vision.

You are in contact with everyone

If you work in the front office, you will mainly speak to clients and colleagues (by phone). You often deal with a specific target group, which can sometimes be a bit vulnerable. You learn to put people at ease and give them what they need during a conversation. This is therefore an important and valuable quality that you must possess. In addition, you are always there for the people who come to your desk and have an appointment with a doctor, nurse, psychologist or one of your other colleagues. Every day is different with new questions for which you have to find a solution. It's never boring!

An average working day

When you come in on location in the morning, we all make sure the office and reception area are tip-top. We pick up mail, fix the kitchen, refill the coffee and have a nice chat with each other. During the day various phone calls come in for and from all labels within paraDIGMA groep. You support them where possible and liaise with other colleagues when necessary.

In between, we do administrative work, support at a meeting or place an order for the location; again, this makes the work varied. Colleagues regularly drop by for help or a friendly chat. Once the day is over, we make sure that everything is in order and neatly in place. Time to go home!

It is very nice to have personal contact with people and to help them where necessary. Because you are appreciated, you always go home with a satisfied feeling. Because you are an important point of contact for colleagues, you also get to know many new people and before you know it you know the entire organization!

Everyone is approachable, you get to know many new people and have the opportunity for new challenges. You have to be adaptable because things do change every day. This is what makes it so much fun!
