Your new job

As Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, your goal is to bring about change and growth in organizations so that absenteeism rates decrease. Your working days as Occupational Health and Safety Advisor are characterized by variety. Because you will visit clients in all sectors, you will constantly get a unique glimpse into different kitchens. Your main focus is on building good relationships with your clients and their employees. You know exactly how your customers work and where there is room for improvement. Your tact and strategic approach come in handy. Besides the customer visits, you ensure that the administrative tasks are in order. You answer all emails, work in absence systems and call employees who are registered in absence to ask how they are doing. Visibility with the client and good telephone accessibility are very important here. A perfect mix of action and administration, which does require the right focus and quality to be able to switch well.

In your role as occupational health and safety consultant, you dare to confront people at all levels of an organization about their behavior so that they become aware of it. You do this in conversations or consultations, usually at the client's work location. You have conversations or consultations with the employee who is absent, the manager and HR. 

With your clients you think along and advise to realize an optimal absence policy. Your focus is not only on recovery, but also on prevention. Because you know your clients well, you see what is needed to reduce the chances of new absenteeism. You are responsible for a tight control in the absenteeism and reintegration process of an employee who is absent; you make your own assessment of the steps to be taken and you always have the Dutch laws and regulations in mind.

The Occupational Health and Safety Service believes in you as an autonomous and unique professional. That is why we believe that as an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor you should be able to fulfill your role in a way that suits you. We like to be continually surprised by your creativity and determination. You do not do this alone. You will receive intensive support from your team leader and colleagues to help you develop further. You will be part of an enthusiastic regional team consisting of, among others, a Company Physician, Occupational Health and Safety Nurse, a Practice Support Physician and colleague Advisors. You learn from each other every day and provide customized guidance to clients.
 

What do you bring?

You have a genuine interest in people and their stories and possess good empathy. You want to contribute to a sustainable Netherlands and do not stick to standard procedures and protocols. You have guts and dare to think out of the box.

In addition:
- Do you have demonstrable HBO working and thinking level;
- Do you have perseverance and are entrepreneurial;
- Dare to confront and be critical of customers;
- You are stress resistant;
- You have excellent communication skills;
- You have a service-oriented and collegial attitude;
- Are you in possession of a drivers license B;
- You have an affinity with occupational health and safety legislation.
