Business Intelligence Analyst

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you enjoy making challenging business issues simpler. You do this with the right qualitative and quantitative foundations. By translating data into (management) information, you ensure that the quality of processes becomes clear. This knowledge is used for internal reports to the management team and externally to help clients achieve their goals.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will support the organization in accessing data; mostly from our core business applications (paraDIGMA Online, PlanningAgenda, Rapasso, AFAS and Topdesk), by implementing IT solutions and in developing information by performing (simple) data analyses. You help others find the right way through all the available data and you are busy on a daily basis making the translation between data and operational processes.

To do this, you speak to many people within the organization and quickly get to know many details of the company. You are the person people come to with their questions because you oversee the entire organization. You are the partner for the business and IT and support the Business Controllers with ad hoc tasks and structural reports. You think out-of-the-box and are the one who provides management and the board with the information they need to make the right strategic decisions. You can really make a difference within the organization in this role!

The team consists of 8 people, including application administrators and support staff. You will work intensively with this group of people to provide the best possible service on IT paraDIGMA groep .

Your tasks:

• Mapping of desired BI functionalities;
• Convert KPIs (steering information) to dashboards;
• Maintain links to core applications;
• Build reports at the management level;
• Advise on data driven work within the organization.

In addition:

• Do you have HBO level through education or work experience in ICT;
• Are you a recent graduate or have 1 year of relevant work experience;
• Do you have experience with MS Office;
• Do you have knowledge of SQL and visualization tools, such as Power-BI;
• Do you have strong analytical skills and IT-Technical understanding;
• Are assertive and have good communication skills;
• Do you have the will to get to the bottom of things;
• Have experience with absence applications and/or Topdesk (preferred);
• Can work well independently, but would also like to be an active part of the team;
• Work orderly, accurately and feel comfortable in a customer-friendly role;
• Have excellent written and oral command of the Dutch language.
