Anders Denken Podcast #10 with Rudo Vissers
Tension in the labor market is increasing. Entrepreneurs everywhere are short of people. Binding and engaging your employees seems to be the solution. But are they? And how do you do that in a healthy way?
In our latest Anders Denken Podcast, Rudo Vissers answers. He looks back at the Anders Denken Symposium and shares his views on the "overstrained" labor market. Interesting, because is this market actually overstretched? Or are we dealing with a welfare problem here? The CEO of paraDIGMA groep tells...
"Right now, the Netherlands has about 600,000 open vacancies. At the same time, an equally large number of employees are absent from work in our country. In addition, the Netherlands also has about 500,000 unemployed. That means there are 1,100,000 people sitting at home. Do we have a capacity problem or do we simply not succeed in putting and keeping people in good jobs?
The solution to the personnel shortage? It lies, according to Vissers, in large part, in open communication. "As an employer, enter into the conversation and ask your employee whether he is enjoying working for you. Yes, that's exciting, because you might get a (too) honest answer. But do you know what is even worse? An employee who drops out. Stop binding and engaging and start inspiring and pruning."
Curious about Vissers' vision and golden tip?
