Anders Denken Podcast #7 with Suzanne Meijers
New legislative changes and bills are on the horizon. How should organizations deal with them? Suzanne Meijers, employment lawyer and entrepreneur, and author of the book "No hassle with personnel," knows how to make heavy legal material clear and manageable. In addition to the important legislative changes on homework allowance, work permits and flex workers, a number of other important changes are on the horizon in the coming period. For example, there will be a "Prohibition of Ancillary Work" and there is a bill "Work Where You Want Act. Currently there is no legislation on ancillary work, but employers have included it in the employment contract. As of Aug. 1, 2022, this is going to change and that means that employers cannot simply ban ancillary work unless there is a justification.
Suzanne Meijers is an employment lawyer in Utrecht, assists employers and employees and is a source of questions for HR specialists. She will talk with Cis Hageman, host of paraDIGMA groep, about these two contemporary topics. To what extent should an employee provide insight into his side activities and how do you as an organization establish a justification? How does this impact the relationship between employer and employee?
Cis asks Suzanne and discusses what employers do best, why it's good as an employer to think about this and the importance of the bill and the amendment.
