Working at paraDIGMA groep as a Back Office Assistant

Sylvia (46 years old) and Suzanne (31 years old) work as Back Office employees for Puls, one of the labels of paraDIGMA groep. They are the connecting factor between the professionals, employers, employees and absence consultants. Every day is a celebration and both also go to work with great pleasure.

How did you end up at paraDIGMA groep ?

Sylvia: "After 20 years of working in primary education, I was looking for something completely different. The question was; which organization could look through my CV and see my competences and qualities as a former teacher? An acquaintance then drew my attention to a vacancy at the company where she herself worked: paraDIGMA groep! Based on my motivation letter I was invited for an interview. There was an immediate click and I was given the opportunity to show that I was suitable for the position of Backoffice employee. Four years later I am still working there. And with great pleasure!"

Suzanne: "For me, things ran a little differently. At my previous employer, I was temporarily on sick leave. At that time there was also a reorganization, so I could not return to my old role. This led to a track 2 trajectory through Puls (formerly Optios), also one of the labels of paraDIGMA groep. Through my job coach, I found out that I belonged best with an organization dedicated to the welfare of people, combined with an administrative role. Eventually, my job coach introduced me to paraDIGMA groep. This was a super good match right away and after just one month I got a permanent contract here!"

How do you like working at paraDIGMA groep?

Suzanne and Sylvia both admit to feeling at home at this organization. Suzanne: "Working at paraDIGMA groep gives a lot of energy! This is partly due to the good working atmosphere and because everyone is very enthusiastic. We also have a lot of fun, but together we get a lot of work done. This balance makes paraDIGMA groep a great place to work."

Sylvia: In addition, I experienced the first working weeks at paraDIGMA groep as very positive. You get a warm welcome, everyone is helpful and helps you on your way. There is a clear induction program, which allows you to get to know the organization, the label and all the associated activities. This is very nice because you are the connecting factor between the professionals, employers, employees and absence consultants.

What exactly are the duties of a Back Office Assistant?

Suzanne: Our duties include: providing administrative support to the labor experts of Puls, maintaining mailboxes, invoicing, processing applications and scheduling various investigations. We are also the (telephone) point of contact for the label, both internally and externally.

Sylvia: Precisely because our range of duties is so broad and diverse, no two days are the same. Sounds cliché but this makes the work varied and challenging. The close cooperation with colleagues also makes the work even more fun! When the day starts, we first make a daily schedule together. We do this based on a priority list and in between we answer phone calls and pick up urgent requests!

What would you like to see in the new Back Office employee?

Sylvia: "The click I have with Suzanne is very good. We always complement each other very well! Because we work together two days a week, our communication to each other is very important. We learn a lot from each other and are both eager to learn. The ideal Back Office Assistant fits well in our team, is structured and enthusiastic. You want to be part of our team and want to bring out the best in each other."

Suzanne: In addition, you need to be able to shift gears quickly and of course bring a good dose of sociability with you!
