Rudo Vissers: "More doctors is not going to solve the problem, rather worsen it."

Recently, Rudo Vissers, founder of paraDIGMA groep, shared his opinion on the stated shortage of company doctors:
"Occupational physicians get caught up in red tape and the mandatory sticking of medical labels that are not the right ones. As a result, there seems to be too few of these doctors."
So argues Rudo Vissers. "Even more doctors is not going to solve the problem, rather worsen it."
At the heart of the problem is the simplistic notion that people's absenteeism in organizations is always a medical problem. However, there are countless other root causes underlying absenteeism.
