Employers, please stop that embarrassing year-end interview
How things are going at work is something you should discuss. But please not in such a one-off end-of-year meeting, thinks Rudo Vissers, director of paraDIGMA groep. In newspaper Trouw he shares his views on the year-end interview.
"Towards the end of the year, many have to go through it: the end-of-year interview. I have never understood the value of this kind of session and I strongly advise everyone to stop this kind of nonsensical activity. How badly did you pay attention together, during the year, if in November or December you wouldn't both know how things are going?"
