"Focus on preventive services rather than curative services"

April 11, Rudo Vissers, CEO of paraDIGMA groep, was a guest at BNR Zakendoen. Here he spoke about our vision and approach to absenteeism management and sustainable employability. One topic that came up was our focus on preventive rather than curative services. We want to help organizations prevent absenteeism and not just cure it. By holding up a mirror, we can work with the organization to address the causes of absenteeism and thereby reduce absenteeism and dropout.

During the interview, Rudo confirmed that leadership and Organizational culture are important factors in reducing this absenteeism and dropout rate. In addition, Rudo emphasized that it is not just about providing fringe benefits to retain employees, but more importantly the content of the work. Employers who focus on "golden handcuffs" are shooting themselves in the foot because absenteeism is often higher in organizations where employees work only for the benefits and not for the work itself.
